Labradors are rugged, hardworking, intelligent dogs – employed for retrieving game and held in high regard as both guide dogs and sniffer dogs.
The Labrador has a distinctive short, dense coat hard to the touch, with a water resistant undercoat. It has an otter like tail, very thick at the base and tapering towards the tip.
Regular exercise and sensible feeding is important to prevent the Labrador carrying too much weight. They are good tempered dogs, very agile and adaptable and devoted companions, with a strong will to please. Whilst not aggressive, they will bark to warn off strangers.
The Labrador is gentle with children and the elderly. However if you want a Labrador as a pet rather than a working dog bear in mind that Labrador puppies are full of energy.
All our puppies are now vet checked on a weekly basis and are sold with vaccination card having had their first vaccinations, with our own vet.
